Abellán celebrates that the current Mayor has decided to copy "fully" the PSOE proposal to implement the Participative Budgets in Lorca, a symptom that the Popular Party is an exhausted option and without ideas, which is nourished by "those who do have a serious project prepared , rigorous and of the 21st century to lead the City of Lorca "

The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Isidro Abellán celebrates that the current Mayor, Gil Jódar has decided to copy "fully" the proposal to implement the figure of the Participative Budgets in Lorca, in which Lorca socialists have been working since October 2016.

He assures us that with this "copy and paste" the Popular Party of Lorca, led by the current heir of the Mayor's Office "confirm that they are an option exhausted and without ideas" and that nourishes of those "yes we have prepared a serious, rigorous and of the 21st century to lead this City Council. "

The Socialist mayor recalls that no one had previously spoken in Lorca of participatory budgets until in October 2016, the Municipal Socialist Group put on the table its proposal to make Lorca who can participate in the preparation of municipal budgets.

This proposal is also reflected in the Government Program with which the PSOE was presented to the last Municipal Elections of 2015.

For the PSOE is vital "that the citizens of Lorca and his districts feel day by day that their opinion and needs are taken into account, and not only every four years, as that will be the best way to regain confidence in the institutions ".

For this reason, the socialists proposed a concrete timetable, which should start from a first phase in which to bring together the social and business fabric of Lorca to publicize the initiative and open a deadline in which they can raise their projects.

Subsequently, it would be the turn to assess and select, through an evaluation and monitoring committee, those offers with more foundation.

Finally, once valued and selected, a public voting process would be opened so that the citizens, with their direct vote, will have the opportunity to vote, and ultimately, to be the lead agents of where to direct those investments public policies.

For this reason, he regrets that the current Mayor and his Councilor for Finance want to "hang now this medal" that does not belong to them, since, in the first place, it is a proposal of the PSOE and, in addition, the Popular Party has been unable to launch during its more than 10 years of government in Lorca.

Abellán says he does not know "who or who pretends to deceive the Popular Party" when he recalls "the local government is not far from its involvement in involving citizens."

In fact, he says that "one only has to ask in the neighborhoods that have been the object of urban regeneration works to know that neither they believe nor have ever believed in taking into account the opinion of the neighbors."
