The Councilors of Health and Politics of the Mayor of the City of Lorca, Mª Carmen Ruiz and Fátima Mínguez, together with the president of the Alzheimer Association Lorca, Teresa Camacho, attended this morning at the petition table installed in the Alameda de la Constitución with of World Alzheimer's Day.

In this table has been offered informative and informative documentation with the purpose of raising awareness of society on the issues surrounding this disease.

The volunteers of the same have been collecting small economic contributions in exchange for a solidarity sticker to show their interest and concern for all people affected by this degenerative disease such as Alzheimer.

The Edil de Sanidad has announced that "the Association of Alzheimer's Lorca is doing an excellent job, so I encourage all those who pass through the Alameda de la Constitución to play their part, because with a small gesture can have many resources to help both patients and their families.It should be noted that from the administrations we have to raise the awareness of the population about the many care that the Alzheimer's patients need and for this reason, the association Lorca is leaving the skin to benefit of the sick and the families ".

The Councilor for Policy of the Mayor has wanted to remember that "Lorca is a city with solidarity with Alzheimer and therefore this event was of undoubted celebration. Our city is very aware of this disease" but, like the Councilor for Health, has encouraged all Lorca to make a small donation to this cause.

Mª Carmen Ruiz has stated that "Alzheimer's patients need special and particular attention, something that their own families also need." Lorca has a magnificent facility where patients and families can go. as therapeutic activities, psychostimulation workshops, support activities and home rehabilitation, as well as individual therapies, group and training workshops. Due to its smooth operation, there are more and more applications and therefore the works of expansion of places are continuous.

Finally, the Councilors have expressed their gratitude to the work that this association is doing and have informed that from Ayuntamiento de Lorca "we are very proud of the operation of the organization and we will continue to collaborate."
