The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, the Minister of Employment, Universities and Enterprise of CARM, Juan Hernández, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Lorca, Juan Francisco Gómez, inaugurated this morning the XXXIV edition of the Fair Craft of the Region of Murcia, FERMAUR, which is held from 21 to 24 September in the Alameda de la Constitución.
The hours will be from 11 to 14.30 in the morning and from 5 to 10 in the afternoon.
Fulgencio Gil said that "FERAMUR, which has 55 stands that house exhibitors of different crafts and come from both regional and national geography, is the great forum of regional crafts, an important, necessary and useful event for the regional economy so intimately linked to this strategic sector, but it is also a social event that adds a lot to the active and fruitful local agenda that we celebrate during the month of September FERAMUR repeats its location in the Alameda de la Constitución, due to the works that are being undertaken to transform the Fairgrounds of Santa Quiteria into a large Fair and Congress Center. This is an ideal location that allows Lorca and visitors to enjoy FERAMUR in conjunction with the Lorca Fair.
In this 34th edition, Feramur has 55 exhibitors from all over the region, as well as 15 Spanish provinces including Zamora, Valencia, Toledo, Salamanca, Madrid, Córdoba, Cantabria, Tenerife and Cadiz, among others.
There will also be present the Lorca Artisans Association, ARTELOR, showing the best of local crafts: pottery, jars, jorja, food, florists, ... Similarly, the Federation of Women's Associations of Lorca has a gastronomic stand, Lorca Biciudad, for its tenth anniversary, participates to make known from its stand the project "Movicíclate".
There are 34 handicraft activities, from the most traditional ones such as embroidery, pottery and ceramics, jewelery and costume jewelery, soap making to others such as the creation of fans, glass carvers or cardboard handling.
As for food crafts, visitors can taste the products of beekeepers, pork, cheese, pastries, preserves and artisan brewing in our own city.
Among the activities developed during the celebration of FERAMUR will be held live workshops of various trades such as goldsmithing, stone carving, embroidery and crocheting and demonstrations in esparto.
The Mayor of Lorca has wanted to "thank those who make this great fair: Autonomous Community, Chamber of Commerce and above all the artisans who make Lorca the best showcase to make known an essential sector for our municipality and for the whole Region of Murcia ".
