The chess arrived this weekend to the program of the Sports Games of Guadalentín with the objective of repeating the complete agenda to which they have accustomed us and which allows both the participation of fans and young players from the entire Region of Murcia.

Once again the appointment was double thanks to the organization of the Lorca Chess Club.

The first opportunity to enjoy the chess was on Friday afternoon with the traditional simultaneous game that gives the opportunity to any amateur to challenge the Grand Master International Alfredo Giaccio, who faced at the same time with up to 15 players who they would challenge him.

Young students of the Club, fans and up to thirty people were measured to Giaccio in the Plaza de Colón during the two hours of celebration of the test, with the murmur of the stories of the traditional marathon that, added to the simultaneous, made of this square a space destined to the youngest during the whole afternoon.

But it was missing the key appointment on Saturday, when the traditional Quick Chess Tournament was held, which is one of the most well known and respected tests in the entire region.

A total of 60 players from all the chess clubs of the Region of Murcia participated in the test played at Parque Almenara Mall, this time on the ground floor.

The competition was held between 10 am and 2 pm, with the Swiss system taking 6 rounds with games every half hour.

It is necessary to emphasize a year more the participation of the petates, young players under 8 years who are surprised to see before the board until its skill in the game is contemplated;

7 players took part enjoying during the morning of the games in this complete day of coexistence in which the good games and the environment created a suitable framework to enjoy a demanding sport like few in the intellectual.

The day ended, as it could not be otherwise, with the delivery of medals to the winners.
