The Local Development and Promotion Councilors of the City of Lorca, Sandra Martínez and Ángel Meca, respectively, visited this morning the beneficiaries of the Agricultural Employment Promotion program, framed within the Regional Councils and launched last August by the Consistory Lorca.
Sandra Martinez recalled that "this program has a duration of 4 months and has involved the hiring of a total of 40 agricultural laborers and 8 foremen, thanks to a joint investment by the Public Employment Service and the City Council that amounts to the amount total of 275,000 euros ".
The Councilor for Employment explained that "this project includes two fundamental works to be carried out. The one we visit today is the second of the interventions planned in this program and refers to the adequacy of facilities in municipal nurseries, municipal parks of Diputación Rio and Sancho Dávila, as well as, slopes of south round and skirts of the castle. Specifically, in the municipal nurseries are being carried out multiple works like clearing, substitution of irrigations, plant management and classification of pots, recycling of vegetal material, substitution of plastic covers in greenhouses, plantation of 3,000 Easter flowers and 4,000 seasonal flower plants, as well as bushes, hedge trimming and pruning in general, among other things.
