The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, along with the President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, and the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of CARM, Adela Martínez-Cachá, attended this morning the inauguration of the school year 2017/2018 that has taken place in the CEIP Pasico Campillo.

Fulgencio Gil pointed out that "for Lorca it is a pride to welcome the inauguration of the school year, since we esteem ourselves to be a city that bets firmly on the values ​​of formation regardless of level or age.We are university city, which meant the fulfillment of an old and just social claim, and we are through a model of Socio-Sanitary Sciences Campus that has opted for a new model of training in which theory and practice are intimately linked. The Mayor of Lorca added that "we have secondary schools that always strive for excellence in terms of facilities, as good infrastructure will be the lever that promotes a correct training. Last week we visited the works of the sports facilities of the Ros Giner and Ibáñez Martín, a faithful reflection of this constant effort, but the places where everything begins is schools, where young people acquire their first teachings, letters, syllables, sums and subtractions.

Gil emphasized that "in Lorca we have 17,000 students in different educational centers, we also have a wide map of primary and child centers that serves the specialties geographical conditions of our municipality.A territorial extension of more than 1,600 square kilometers with small population nuclei in the form of deputations requires a network of centers that attend to this complexity, as it happens.Today we have the example with this Campillo school that now has a model and innovative parvulario that will be a reference for education centers childish".

Inauguration of the new pavilion of infantile education of the Colegio Pasico - Campillo

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and the President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, inaugurated this morning the new pavilion for children's education of CEIP Pasico Campillo, in which the Regional Government has invested 900,000 euros .

The new building will have six classrooms, a multipurpose room, and other services, as well as an outdoor space with porches and patio with games area.

The building that will house the pavilion will have a floor plan, with an area of ​​more than 1,000 square meters, and will be equipped with six classrooms for 130 students, room of teachers, room of pedagogy and therapy, hearing and language, and room of special attention.

The pavilion will also have a multipurpose classroom, toilets for students and teachers, cleaning rooms and material, room facilities, lobbies and porche. The outer spaces of the center will have an access area for vehicles and buses, parking area in battery with 29 seats, and a longitudinal sidewalk, parallel to the fencing of the primary school, for pedestrian access to the center and the aforementioned Children's Pavilion.
