Fulgencio Gil has condemned illegal and undemocratic pressure against public representatives to defend the freedom of all, to work for its neighbors and to safeguard our Constitution against the attacks it is suffering.
The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, reported that the Local Government Board of our city council has approved a motion in which it adheres to the Institutional Declaration on October 1 in Catalonia.
The First Edil has affirmed that the City Council of Lorca supports the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), in its capacity as representative institution of all Local Entities and strongly supports and unanimously to the Mayors and Councilors of Catalonia who carry out their functions daily within the legality, with respect to the laws and in defense of the rights of the citizens.
Consequently, the City Council of Lorca and the FEMP firmly and strongly condemn any kind of pressure, coercion, harassment or persecution to the Mayors and Councilors of Catalonia and, at the same time, shows their total and absolute condemnation to those who carry out those intolerable attitudes against those who comply with the laws, the Constitution and the commitments made with the citizens.
