The Councilor for Citizen Security of the City of Lorca, Belén Pérez, reported this morning that the Lorca Local Police Corps officers will participate this Saturday September 30 in Puerto Lumbreras in the XX Championship of Spain MTB Local Police.
Belén Pérez explained that "the 13 agents who will take part in the test will be Pedro Méndez, Antonio González, Juan Francisco Carrillo, David Ruiz, Jesús González, Jesús Gazquez, Jordi López, Fernando Manzanares, Fernando Moreno, Miguel Ángel Martínez, Miguel Ángel Carrión, Juan Antonio Martínez and Juan José Parra. They will be in charge of representing the Local Police but also the city of Lorca in this ambitious test.
The Councilor for Citizen Safety recalled that "the Championship last year was held in Jerez and the previous in Lorca, so our municipality and its professionals are a reference when talking about mountain bike practiced by local police officers. The Mayor of Ciudad de Seguridad has indicated that "it is expected that more than 140 people from different parts of the Spanish geography, such as Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Marbella or Ceuta, will compete throughout the weekend in Puerto Lumbreras in this prestigious event. The test will run for a circuit of 4 laps for a total of 46 km, not being disqualified the participants who are doubled by race head, the exit will be made from the Municipal Sports Center.
