The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, presented this morning the second edition of the initiative "The Fortress of Books," to be held on Sunday 8 October at the Castle of Lorca.
In the event, organized by Press Workshop, the Department of Tourism and Lorca Taller del Tiempo, around a hundred authors will meet and, according to last year's public success, more than a thousand readers and lovers of Literature.
Francisco Montiel said that "it will be a very special day, in which there will be, besides a big book fair with about 4,000 copies, a signature of authors, live music, storytelling, theater, coffee gathering and draws: books, four SPA circuits in the Jardines de Lorca Hotel and one night in the Parador de Lorca In order to complete the day, the activities proposed in "La Fortaleza de los Libros" will be complemented by the theatrical activities and guided visits to the Alfonsina Tower , as well as the Archaeological Park of the Castle and the Synagogue ".

Montiel emphasized that "La Fortaleza de los Libros" is an event especially recommended for schools and secondary schools, reading clubs, clubs, groups and cultural associations.
It is an activity that combines culture and history, an unforgettable literary day in the spectacular setting of a historic monument such as the Castle of Lorca in which the main goal is to promote reading and literature.
The collaborators of the second edition of this initiative have been Alamo Bookstore, More than Comics, Parador de Lorca and the Jardines de Amaltea Hotel.
