The Archery returned to the agenda of the Sports Games of Guadalentín this Sunday with a Championship Region of Murcia of Open Air organized by the Club Arcolorca next to the Federation of Archery of the Region of Murcia.
The '82 World Cup, in the Sports Complex of La Torrecilla, welcomed the test as it has been traditional since the arrival of this activity to our municipality 9 years ago.
Archery has been firmly established in the local sports calendar to the point where Lorca has hosted outstanding activities such as the I Field Release of 2016 or several regional events such as the Championship held on Sunday.
Specifically came to Lorca 64 archers from all over the Region, 47 men and 17 women.
The meteorology wanted to put of its part and the archers enjoyed a magnificent morning without wind nor sun, firing from the 9 and until past the 14 hours,
The competition was played through the release of 36 arrows at the corresponding distances, from 12 meters, for the Squirrel category aimed at the smallest, up to 70 meters for the most experienced archers in the Olympic recurve arch division.
First a qualifying round was held to later give way to the qualifiers from the quarterfinals.
Even going so far as to have to resort to the jump-off to a single arrow on one occasion.
The archers competed with recurve (Olympic) arch, composite (of pulleys), standard RFTA (Spanish), bare bow, traditional recurve and traditional long bow.

From the Club Arcolorca it is wanted to announce that within program of activities they are going to celebrate a new days of initiation to the archery.
They will start next Saturday, 7 at 10 in the Alameda Pavilion and are aimed at children, youth and adults.
Through the conference will be introduced to those interested in the use of bow equipment, safety measures, and various techniques of all arch divisions.
