The Councilor for Commerce and Handicrafts in the City of Lorca, Maria del Carmen Ruiz, together with the President of the Union of Merchants, Antonio Martínez, have reported that both institutions have joined efforts to present the project "Creating a city among all" within the call for participatory budgets of CARM.
Ruiz Jódar has affirmed that this is a firm and very beneficial proposal whose objectives are to revitalize the trade, to increase the transit of customers and sales flow of the commercial establishments, as well as to continue recovering spaces and facades of the Urban and Historical Center, through of the project "Lorca Art Project (LAP).
María del Carmen Ruiz has said that this initiative would contribute to further increase the reality of Lorca as head of county and its unquestionable subregional leadership, while allowing aesthetic improvement of multiple enclaves of our historic center.
The bet of this Municipal Administration to promote the image of quality of the local commerce and its corporate profile is firm and decided.
We are together with our people, along with our merchants, who are demonstrating an entrepreneurial capacity worthy of mention.
Thanks to its effort this city is stronger, dynamic and constitutes the pole of reference for all the municipalities of the region.
The Councilor of Commerce explained that after the success achieved by the City and Historical Shopping Center (CCA) to recover urban spaces in the city, as a means of attracting customers, a habit of walking and transit more friendly to citizens, we have decided request a project that redoubled the positive impact it has achieved.
We want to strengthen the recovery of urban spaces through all the possibilities that art allows us (graffiti in the style of Lorca Art Project, contests drawing, aesthetic improvement of facades, installation of canvas with graphic reproductions ...)
Town Hall and Union of Merchants encourage all Lorca to participate in this selection process.
