The Government Team has bought four vehicles in 21 days by hand, without hearing other offers and the same concessionaire.
It has been done individually with the alleged intention of circumventing the open recruitment procedures required by law for purchases over 18,000 euros, which guarantees equality of opportunity, free competition and better offers.
Antonio Meca explains that "had bought the four vehicles at once and in a single procedure with the guarantees required by law would have received different offers that would have meant better economic conditions and great economic savings for the City of Lorca."
This circumstance, which could be repeated for years, may involve the commission of alleged crimes such as unfair administration and embezzlement of public funds.
In the same line, the former Employment Counselor Mrs. Eulalia Ibarra acted on December 1, 2016, when she personally acquired two vehicles at the same concessionaire and without requesting a quote from other companies.
"It is also surprising that in the case of Ms. Lali Ibarra, one of the vehicles acquired, Renault Captur with license plate 8272JNK, we thought it was his property because he used it daily and weekends for his private use" adds the Councilman.
We urge the Government Team to put an immediate end to these politically harmful practices for citizens.
