The Councilor of the United Left-Greens, Gloria Martín, today asked the Councilor for Urban Development, Saturnina Martínez, that the Office of Promotion and Support to Economic Activity that the City of Lorca has launched, in testing phase, serve so that entrepreneurs can open companies in the municipality within 48 hours.
Martín said that what was announced recently by the councilor of Urbanism has "much of talk" and "little practical and novel", and recalled that many municipalities in Spain already offer express services "really effective in advising new entrepreneurs and promote economic activity in their municipalities in a record time. "
Therefore, the mayor of IU-Verdes asked Martinez to work on the start-up of a "Point of Attention to the Entrepreneur" where people are managed by the Tax Agency, the Social Security, the Mercantile Registry and the rest of administrative procedures "completely free".
"This point would accelerate and reduce the process for the entrepreneur since the administrative procedures would be managed at no cost to the interested party and, in addition, will allow him to open his company within a maximum period of 48 hours," said Gloria Martín.
In that sense, he recalled that, currently, the average time spent in the necessary steps to open a business in Lorca is 40 days. "The councilor of IU-Greens explained that this service could be provided, even in a telematic way, saving not only on time but on journeys.
For Martin, it is "interesting" for the City Council to launch initiatives to professionally advise and facilitate its task to those who decide to create a company or a society, at such a complicated economic time.
That is why he invited Saturnina Martínez to get in touch with other consistories "that have been innovating for years."
