The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, has informed that the term of enrollment of the program of courses and workshops offered by the Center for Cultural Resources (Popular University and School of Plastic and Performing Arts) is now open, as well as the Municipal School of Music for the first quarter of the year.
Those interested can choose between 93 courses (82 of the Popular University and 11 of the School of Visual and Performing Arts), 10 of them will be free.
These will be developed between October and February, with the number of places offered being 1,472.
Agustín Llamas said that "the program presented today by the Center for Cultural Resources has as a priority objective to facilitate the access of all people to training in all areas covered by culture, thus involving participation and cultural development to we have decided to create this Center of Cultural Resources to unify the wide range of activities that we offer.What is wanted from the Popular University, the Municipal School of Visual and Performing Arts and also, the Municipal School of Music is, among others, to support creativity and cultural diffusion, promote democratization and cultural participation, protection and promotion of its own cultural identity, openness to diversity, nationalization of resources and the promotion of cultural production of individuals or groups.
