IU-V wants to audit the works that have been erected to the city of Lorca on all four sides.
The spokesman of this municipal group, Pedro Sosa, has stated that his political training has been emphasizing for a long time the whole set of irregularities derived from a total lack of planning, and that all of them become unavoidable the requirement of an audit .
We began by criticizing the lack of information, the obscurantism with which the government of the autonomous community is working on projects and awarding works without the neighbors, and sometimes without even the City Council of Lorca, knew in detail the plans of the administration regional.
That same obscurantism is being extended to the recruitment of the same ones, in which we are always with big foreign companies and with the contempt to the local entrepreneurs, with the effects that this has in the inexistence of economic and labor return for Lorca.
We have never understood, nor have we been given explanations in this regard, what reasons lead to prioritizing needs above others.
In that sense, there are areas of Lorca on which will be acted twice (as is the case of Avenida Europa) and incomprehensibly not spend a single euro in one of the areas most punished by earthquakes as is the historical heart of Lorca.
The lack of coordination of the various adjudications and implementation of the works has also led to the closure of traffic with the inconvenience caused by various communication routes that have turned some areas of Lorca into an inaccessible place (the neighborhood case is paradigmatic) of San Cristóbal and its affection to neighbors and merchants).
We also see how some works have very strange rhythms of execution, the days go by and there are no operators working on them, and suddenly we find that they are driven back to full performance, which leads us to think that the rhythm of some of them are being matched, not to the general interest of Lorca and Lorca, but to the electoral calendar and the horizon of the regional and municipal elections of 2019.
And lastly we have denounced up to twice as have been awarded works under the EIB loan to alleviate the effects of the earthquake in Lorca to repair roads of two municipalities (Eagles and Mazarron) that are outside the territorial framework of that loan.
With all this accumulation of circumstances, says Pedro Sosa, it is an obligation of any opposition group to demand that all the public work financed by the EIB be audited in detail, and we will formally raise it in the Plenum of the City of Lorca.
