The Governing Council has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment to provide 73,928 euros to the Very Illustrious Cabildo of Our Lady of the Virgin of Bitterness of Lorca, Paso Blanco, to finance operating expenses of the Museum of Embroideries of the White Pass.
El Paso Blanco has among its priority objectives the dissemination of its heritage as a testimony of the historical and artistic legacy preserved in the Region and linked to one of the most traditional manifestations such as the Holy Week of Lorca.
To carry out this work throughout the year, it has the Embroidery Museum of Paso Blanco, whose main objective is to guard, study, conserve and research the textile heritage of the artistic treasure of the Brotherhood, among which are six goods of cultural interest BIC .
The Museum exhibits its collections in conditions of preventive conservation, in an orderly and clear way, encouraging their contemplation and study and guaranteeing their protection, conservation and restoration.
Grant to restore the Resting Christ of the sculptor José Planes
The regional executive has given approval to a grant worth 12,489 euros for the restoration of the size of the Cristo Yacente of the sculptor Jose Planes, located in the Church of San Francisco de Lorca, and suffered damages by the earthquake of 2011.
