The Councilor of Commerce of the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz, and the president of the Union of Merchants Lorca, Antonio Martinez, have delivered this morning the president of the Association of Parents and Mothers of Early Childhood Lorca, María Dolores Chumillas, a donation corresponding to the benefit obtained by the realization of the second edition of "Lorca is in fashion."
Maria del Carmen Ruiz stressed that "have been collected 2,275 euros that are delivered to collaborate with APAT Lorca, a non-profit group that works for and to improve the quality of life of children with disabilities in their early years and thus in this way have a future full of possibilities, with special attention to children who finish their treatment in the Municipal Early Care Center 'Fina Navarro López.The collection comes from the sale of chairs of the various parades that have been held during the four days in different parts of the city center. "Lorca is in fashion" has been very important for its solidarity component, but above all for what has been achieved socially, and is that more than 1,600 people have contemplated the various organized parades ".
The Councilor of Commerce, in this regard, recalled that "between 3 and 6 October 4 parades were held in different monumental sites of Lorca, such as Calderon Square, Huerto Ruano, the Convent of La Merced and Plaza de España More than thirty models participated in each of the parades, which recorded an absolute full, obtaining a dynamization of the social and commercial life of Lorca.
Ruiz Jódar wanted to "thank the 40 companies of the urban area that have participated in this initiative, both the textile sector, complements and hairdressing, makeup and decoration, the students of the Fashion and Patronage Module of IES Bartolomé Pérez Casas , to Sol Ferrándiz and Esther Berruezo, to all the models, assistants and, of course, to the Regional Union of Merchants, with the collaboration of the General Directorate of Commerce of the Autonomous Community, for carrying out this initiative that we can qualify as a major success that continues to drive Lorca as the commercial capital of Guadalentín and the Levante Almeria.
