Work has begun this morning, starting with the repair of firm in Plaza España with calle Álamo, so from today until next Friday, October 20 will be special rules of circulation for the traffic of vehicles in this area
Local Development Councilor Lorca City Council, Sandra Martínez, reported that students of the Joint Employment and Training Program "Entrebarrios" are going to execute a battery of actions of improvement, renovation and replacement of pavement in the Plaza de España.
It is the workshop of auxiliary operations of rigid finishes and urbanization, constituted within the program with the objective of contributing to the improvement of different urban enclaves of the municipality.
Sandra Martinez explained that "these students, who have the support of own staff of the City that will supervise the works, will carry out a battery of repairs in Plaza de España that includes the arrangement of 20 m2 of pink porriño granite pavement measuring 10x10x8, the arrangement of 15 m2 of black granite slab measuring 50x50x8, the review of scuppers in poor condition, as well as the replacement of any item that is not in perfect condition.
The Councilor for Local Development has indicated that "improvement actions have begun this morning, starting with the repair of pavement in Plaza España with Calle Alamo, so from today and until next Friday October 20 will be produced special rules circulation for the traffic of vehicles in this area, and from the City of Lorca we ask caution to pedestrians when they transit through the area that is in works.
Martínez recalled that "this action complements the works executed in two of the most significant enclaves of the city as it is the Lope Gisbert street and the atrium of the church of San Mateo, since the works that were carried out were carried out by of the beneficiaries of the "Entrebarrios" youth program.Through this initiative the participating students receive an economic remuneration and are being trained in a practical way, but at the same time their work positively influences the improvement of public adornment, since the practices are carried out in different locations in our city.The project will remain active until the end of March 2018.
The Edil de Desarrollo Local has reported that "the Entrebarrios" program has a grant of SEF of 350,000 euros and 32 young beneficiaries of Lorca Youth Guarantee participate. Students are being formed specifically in auxiliary operations in nurseries, gardens and centers gardening, auxiliary operations of assembly and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment, as well as auxiliary operations of rigid finishes and urbanization, as is the case of the performance that we present today in Plaza de España.
