Mateos warns that Section I, its delays and its project modifications highlight the improvisation, the lack of criteria and the political inability of the exhausted PP project.
In addition, demands the urgent call of the burial platform in Lorca to address this decision that compromises the underground passage of the AVE by the city in 4.5 kilometers
The PSOE spokesman, Diego José Mateos warns that the new delay in the execution of Section I of the Evacuation Round "is one more sample of the absolute incapacity" of the Popular Party to carry out in a clear and without delay the great infrastructures of Our city.
The Round, insisted by Mateos, "should have been completed before work began on other urban roads so that there would be an alternative to the circulation in the city," remains "stagnant" in its execution.
The spokesman remembers that only stage 4 is executed, while 1 is paralyzed, 2 is not yet awarded (after more than a year of paperwork) and the third has not yet "no project or financing" to undertake the works.
Diego José Mateos said that these delays demonstrate, once again, the "political incapacity" of the government team and the deputy mayor to head decisively to tackle these infrastructures as they "represent a political project completely exhausted."
Mateos recalls that between the inability to manage and the resources presented by the companies "it took almost a year and a half to process the file and award the works of Section I".
Now, he says that "we find that, once the works are finally started, they are paralyzed by mistakes in the project as to how to save the crossing with the railroad."
Mateos wonders "why these consultations were not made prior", because he says "they have had plenty of time".
In this way, he assures "they would not have paralyzed the works, with what it cost that they began".
He warns that passing the Round below the existing rail line, as now proposed by the PP, may reveal that the burial of the AVE and the railway will be, as we fear, just 1.7 km and not the 4, 5 km that would be appropriate.
He assures us that it is precisely in the area where we are talking about where the burial of the line should begin "so as not to divide the city into two halves and that would affect Sector III in its development."
Therefore, the Socialist responsible ensures that if the passage of the Round is going to be "below the railroad track, it will hardly be buried that stretch as it would be technically unviable."
Therefore they demand that they be informed of this modification and that it be clarified if this solution to bury the Round in that section is shared by the Mayor and his government team. "
He announces that they will raise a question to the next plenary to verify the opinion of the Mayor and if the City Council that presides has something to say about these modifications.
In addition, it calls for the urgent meeting of the AVE underground platform in Lorca to address this decision affecting the underground passage of the railway.
