The general director of Seniors and Persons with Disabilities, Ana Guijarro, accompanied four students of the Service of Promotion of Personal Autonomy (SEPAP) Down Lorca at the beginning of their pre-employment practices in the residence for seniors of Caser in the town.
Guijarro highlighted the importance of "making people with disabilities participate in society because we are all gaining, they bring us their vitality and enthusiasm and at the same time we are contributing to the development of an independent, standardized and integrated life in society."
He also encouraged Down Lorca to "continue working" with the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities to achieve "the common objectives of achieving equal opportunities, non-discrimination and universal accessibility for people with disabilities and the development of a project independent living ".
He stressed that "the regional government works to ensure that all people with disabilities have the opportunity to develop a standardized and integrated life in society," because "disability can not be a reason for exclusion."
To the residential Alameda de Caser thanked "his involvement with Down-Lorca and the opportunity that has given these people to put into practice the knowledge acquired."
