The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos returned to visit the works of Los Angeles and Apolonia to inspect, this time from the hand of the responsible bidders, the degree of execution of the same and also to make them arrive the needs, proposals and complaints raised by the neighbors, with the aim of taking into account now that there is still time to correct, especially, the failures detected during the completion of work.
The Socialist Spokesman managed to start the commitment of the technicians responsible for correcting the detected flaws, and insists that "they are generating real headaches among the neighbors."
Diego José Mateos ensures that his party will remain "extremely vigilant" to enforce the commitment that came with the responsible technicians, and thus avoid repeating the same problems that "suffered and continue to suffer" residents of neighborhoods like San Diego , San José, Alfonso X or La Viña due to the "null and lacking common sense" planning that the PP did when projecting and executing the regeneration works in these neighborhoods.
They denounce the regrettable state of Armed Forces gardens, next to the Campus
In another order of things, and following the visit that the socialists made last week in the neighborhood of Los Angeles, denounce the "unfortunate state of abandonment" presented by the gardens of the Armed Forces Avenue located at the entrance of the University Campus and from the M13 youth resource center.
Mateos assures that it is "shameful" the degree of abandonment of facilities that, remember, are the door of those who come to the University of Lorca or the youth center.
The socialists are urging that the remodeling of this space is undertaken, which insists is the first image that is shown to those who visit these facilities, or with which the residents of the area coexist daily.
The gardens evidence the "years" neglect that this environment suffers.
To the accumulation of garbage and weeds, and the need to revise the trees, there is an urgent need to renew both the lighting and the urban furniture, whose elements are so deteriorated that they become a real danger to the physical integrity of pedestrians.
It also adds, they add, the poor condition of the façade of the Campus, still awaiting remodeling and the object of vandalism.
A situation that has been denounced on numerous occasions by the PSOE and that, again, has not been addressed by the Popular Party government team.
