Councilor of IU-Greens, Gloria Martin, has criticized that the application of electronic administration at the service of citizens in municipal services is "practically anecdotal" in Lorca.

Martín has ensured that, in the middle of the digital era, there are many neighbors who claim to be able to carry out paperwork with their City Council electronically.

However, in the municipality, "electronic administrative procedures are the exception, instead of the norm," he said.

Simply with the electronic DNI or, failing that, with the digital certification issued by the National Currency and Stamp Factory, and which can also be obtained through the Internet, any neighbor could carry out telematic procedures with the City Council in his own home, which would mean, in addition to great comfort for the user, "a considerable reduction in time, travel costs and even paper," said Martín.

However, the mayor of IU-Green has explained that, in Lorca, the "citizen folder", the service through which citizens can consult online personal information data that the City has about them, only allows to print flyers of cohabitation and registration and the receipts of the fiscal registers that are in the collection period, although it does not offer the possibility of paying them by card, transfer, transfer or Paypal.

Unlike other city councils, such as Murcia, Cartagena or Molina de Segura, the citizen's folder of Lorca does not allow to carry out negotiations related to taxes, pay the traffic fines issued by the City Council, or consult information on the electoral census, the state of files that are processed electronically or on receipts already paid or pending to do so.

Others allow you to process on line the domiciliation of taxes, the rectification of personal data, the modification of the fiscal domicile, and even the payment of the Tax on Economic Activities.

They also offer the citizen the possibility of channeling their suggestions through a portal of neighborhood participation or of making self-assessments of the Building, Facilities and Minor Works Tax, of building licenses or of inscriptions in sports schools.

For Gloria Martín, the City of Lorca "suspends" in implementation of electronic administration, so it has demanded an "action plan" in this sense so that it "is updated" and makes possible an "open administration to citizens 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, "avoiding queues and waste of time in performing bureaucratic procedures.
