Thanks to this grant the families of the beneficiary students only have to pay 1 euro per day for their journeys from their home district to the educational center where they are studying, since the rest of the cost of the ticket is assumed by the Department of Education

The Councilor for Education of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, reported this morning that the City Council, meeting the need for displacement of students of post-compulsory education (Baccalaureate and Vocational Training Vocational Training Middle and Higher) residents in districts of the municipality has allocated 50,000 euros in grants to these students for the first semester of the course.

Francisco Montiel pointed out that "162 people are benefiting from these regular transport aids, which were convened last September, thanks to this grant the families of the beneficiary students only have to pay 1 euro per day for their journeys from its pedanía of residence to the educational center where they study, since the rest of the cost of the ticket is assumed by the Department of Education.It should be noted that during the period of presentation of applications have been approved weekly in the Local Government Board concessions of help as they have been presented by the applicants ".

The Councilor for Education explained that "the objective of this grant is to guarantee the principle of effective equality of opportunities for all students of the municipality, for it the City of Lorca issues a travel voucher, nominal, for each of the beneficiary students, which is delivered to them and that is valid from the moment of reception until the last academic day of the first four-month period of the 2017-2018 academic year. "

Ruta Almendricos - La Escucha Purias - Lorca: 51 students

Route Coy Avilés - Doña Inés - Lorca: 7 students

Route La Hoya - Lorca: 48 students

Route La Parroquia Río - Lorca: 15 students

Route Zarcilla de Ramos - La Paca - Lorca: 37 students

Route Zarzadilla de Totana - Lorca: 4 students
