The Councilor for Development and Infrastructure of the City of Lorca, Angel Meca, and the Director General of Planning, Architecture and Housing of the Autonomous Region of Murcia, Laura Sandoval, visited this morning the works that are being carried out in Calle Los Veras, in the Barrio de San Cristóbal, which are already executed at sixty percent, and are expected to be completed in January.
Angel Meca explained that "the action of the street Los Veras, which is working on a total area of ​​1,627 square meters, has a budget of more than 281,000 euros is being allocated to the replacement of supply networks , and sanitation and rainwater, as well as the underground channeling of public lighting, the low voltage distribution network and telecommunications ".
The Councilor for Development has added that "in addition, the road safety of pedestrians and vehicles will be improved thanks to the complete renovation of the pavement of the street as well as its signaling of traffic and urban furniture." The works are financed by the Autonomous Community within the plan of actions carried out in the city under the loan of the European Investment Bank (EIB), and are being executed by the City of Lorca.
Laura Sandoval, meanwhile, stressed that "the city of Lorca remains an absolute priority for the Government of the Region." It should be recalled that four neighborhoods have already been rebuilt (La Viña, Alfonso X, San José and San Diego) , and we are acting another six, in total, more than 40,000 residents of Lorca can directly enjoy the new neighborhoods that are going to be renovated, new streets, new parks, new services.
