The Director General of Territorial Planning, Architecture and Housing, Laura Sandoval, visited today, along with the Councilor for Development of Lorca, Angel Meca, the works on Calle Los Vera in the Lorca neighborhood of San Cristóbal, and highlighted the "progress" in the improvement of infrastructure in the city of Lorca, which "remains an absolute priority for the regional government."
He also indicated that four neighborhoods have already been reconstructed in full (La Viña, Alfonso X, San Jose and San Diego) and that six others are being operated.
"In total, more than 40,000 residents of Lorca can directly enjoy the new neighborhoods that are going to be renovated, new streets, new parks and new services."
The performance of Calle Los Vera has a budget of more than 281,000 euros for the replacement of supply networks, sanitation and rainwater, as well as underground public lighting, the low voltage distribution network and telecommunications.
The works cover a total area of ​​1,627 square meters.
"The road safety of pedestrians and vehicles will be improved thanks to the complete renovation of the pavement of the street, as well as its signaling of traffic and street furniture", explained the director.
The works are financed by the Community within the action plan developed in the city under the loan of the European Investment Bank (EIB), and will be executed by the City of Lorca.
