The Socialists ask that the current Mayor to facilitate a meeting of "urgency" with neighbors, technicians of the company and City of Lorca to open a "true process of participation", which takes into account the opinion of the neighbors and thus avoid repeat the same mistakes that have been made in other neighborhoods by the "null" planning of the PP in the works of remodeling of the city after the earthquakes
The Spokesman of the PSOE, Diego José Mateos has demanded the current Mayor to meet "immediately" with the residents of the neighborhood of La Salud-Cristo Rey to agree, together with them and the management of the work and technicians of the responsible company, the remodeling project of that area.
The PSOE asks that neighbors and traders already know the project and can participate in the remodeling of their neighborhood, and comment on "vital" issues for their welfare and comfort.
The problems of parking, or the unfortunate state of most parks, plazas such as Cristo Rey, gardens and streets, worry about neighbors who have been "years" supporting the oblivion of the City of Lorca.
Mateos has returned to denounce that the Popular Party forgot the remodeling of this neighborhood.
He assures that it is "incomprehensible" that this apple will remain "in oblivion" and not regenerate, when the "logical and common sense" would have been that the polygon of La Salud-Cristo Rey had been remodeled following the works of La Viña or San José and Alfonso X.
The Socialists say that this "forgetfulness" is another clear example of the lack of planning with which the PP is facing the urban regeneration of the city after the earthquakes.
Consequence, he insists, of a government team "exhausted and without ideas" that from the beginning "was unable to plan, in a calm manner, the Lorca of the next decades".
The remodeling project in this area accumulates "months and months of delay".
As also happens with other announced works, Mateos insists that this delay only endangers the financing to execute these works.
However, and after this "resounding error" of the Popular Party, Mateos ensures that there is time to take advantage of this "unfortunate oblivion" and make profitable the delay in the works to open a "real" participation process in which the neighbors they feel part of the project of their neighborhood, they can contribute suggestions and give an opinion on how the works should be executed.
Mateos hopes that the PP has learned "something" from the "chaotic" management they are doing with the works of regeneration of the city after the earthquakes.
Ensures that it is time to take into account, this time yes, the opinion of the neighbors so that they do not make mistakes like those committed in nearby neighborhoods, and whose consequences continue to suffer today neighbors.
