The Ministry of the Presidency and Development has put out to tender the contracting of the services of control and surveillance of the works of section two of the South Central Round and of the evacuation road of the Barrios Altos de Lorca.
The second of these actions also includes health and safety coordination.
The Director General of Roads, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, explained that both contracts, whose bid announcements have been published today in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), have a total amount of 180,800 euros, and the deadline for submission of the offers will be eight days, counted from tomorrow Sunday.
Fernández Lladó stressed the importance of the actions linked to these works of such importance that, in the case of the second section of the South Central Round of Lorca, will enable the construction of a road that will give more fluidity to traffic between the entrance through the east of the city and the neighborhoods of San Diego and Apolonia and will improve the communications of the 10,000 residents who live in these residential areas.
The construction of this new communication road on both banks of the Guadalentín River has a budget of more than 6.6 million euros, financed by the Autonomous Community under the loan of the European Investment Bank.
The second contract also includes the safety and health coordination of the work on the Barrios Altos evacuation road.
The regional manager recalled that the action contemplated in this area of ​​the city has a total investment of 3.5 million euros and will enable the construction of a perimeter road, located northwest of the town, to join the Rambla de San Lazaro with the access road to the Castle of Lorca, next to the church of Santa María and crossing the Barrios Altos.
