The Governing Council, on the proposal of the Ministry of Employment, Universities and Enterprise, has given its approval to the direct award of a grant worth 85,471 euros to the City of Lorca, aimed at the adaptation of the old bakery building as Casa Taller del Artesano 'El Arrabal'.

With this help, the Community, together with the City Council of Lorca, aims to support and enhance regional crafts by promoting the creation and provision of structures for the promotion of the artisan sector of the municipality of Lorca.

The Craftsman's House will be held in an area of ​​ethnographic, cultural, tourist and historical recovery of the municipality.

Specifically, in the building of the old pósito, in the heart of the historic center of Lorca.

It is a municipal property located in the Plaza del Caño, with a floor area of ​​653 square meters.
