The Governing Council has given its approval to the contracting of works for the urban renewal of the neighborhood of La Salud-Cristo Rey in the city of Lorca, with a total budget of 2,018,128 euros.
Rehabilitation and infrastructure improvement works will be developed throughout the neighborhood and adjacent areas.
This area of ​​the city was one of the most affected by the May 2011 earthquakes and is located within the pedestrian axis that joins the neighborhoods of San José, Alfonso X and La Viña.
The works, which will have a term of execution of 12 months, will consist of the construction of engineering works, channeling of wastewater, pipes, communication lines and power lines, road works and paving of streets.
The project will be financed by the Community under the loan contracted with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the recovery of the city.
