The system that allows the electronic processing of legal proceedings has entered into operation in the courts of Lorca.
From now on, the signing and consultation of documents in the judicial bodies of Murcia will be carried out entirely in digital format, which will help expedite the processing and provide greater guarantees to all legal acts.
The deployment of the digital justice system in the seven courts of 1st instance and instruction and in the two criminal courts of Lorca will benefit its more than 141,000 citizens.
Since the use of electronic means in the relations between courts and legal operators was made mandatory in January 2016, almost 374,000 communications were made in Lorca between notifications and writings initiating lawsuits and proceedings.
The implementation of digital justice in Murcia has required organizational, technological and change management actions to train staff in the handling of new applications.
The follow-up of the works is carried out through an Implementation Technical Group constituted by the heads of the judicial office and the Ministry of Justice, which is responsible for technical support.
On December 4, digital justice will also start operating in Jumilla and it is expected that in March 2018 the implementation of the system will be completed throughout the region.
