The spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has demanded Gil Jódar immediate explanations for the "worrying delay" in the works of Villaescusa and the "big lie" that the current Mayor and his government team have made to all Lorca, assuring that the remodeling works of Villaescusa's palace were finished when reality has shown no.

Mateos has revealed an agreement of the Local Government Board, on December 22, in which the PP government team recognizes that Villaescusa remodeling works "are not finished nor is there a date for their reception."

In addition, they show that they give "three more months" to complete these works, so they are "three months more" in spending than it costs to keep displaced municipal services such as statistics, in a privately owned subsidiary.

This agreement "contrasts gravely" with the statements that the Mayor, on November 8, made to the media after a "propaganda tourist visit" to this building in which he affirmed that the works had "ended".

Mateos recalled that the visit of the Villaescusa works that the mayor offered last November 8 was a "staging" and a "montage", and that clearly responded to a "forced attempt" by the Popular Party to " cover "his nefarious management.

This "tourist walk" took place just a few days after the PSOE reported that the delay in these works "was and is" costing the Lorca the money.

Specifically, and only until last November "15,000 euros, at a rate of 1,200 euros per month," while ensuring "the account continues to grow."

Since Villaescusa was evicted for the beginning of the works in May 2016, "21 months have passed, when the works were supposed to last 6, so this City Council has paid 15 months of rent that should not have paid , that is, more than € 15,000 has been paid in excess of the pocket of all Lorca for the mismanagement of this government team of the Popular Party.

Due to this mismanagement of the PP and the "suspicions" of the PSOE that "are now confirmed", the Lorca socialists included in their request for an extraordinary plenary session on the management of the works in Lorca a point dedicated exclusively to demanding explanations from the PP about the delays in the works of Villaescusa.

Mateos has announced that they will request the issuance of a report to the municipal intervention services, which must be complied with, in order to know how much the excess cost is due to delays in the works and to make clear "who or who was responsible for the this "nefarious" management that is costing the money to all Lorca.
