Bernabé has confirmed the next award of the works of the new Palace of Justice of Lorca, a contest to which 24 companies have submitted.
The government delegate, Francisco Bernabé, accompanied by the mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, this morning supervised the improvement works carried out in various municipal roads, parks, schools and social premises of several districts thanks to the investment of three million made by the Ministry of Finance through an agreement signed on November 6 between the mayor and the Secretary of State for Finance, José Enrique Fernández de Moya.
Bernabé has indicated that this important investment is another proof of the commitment of the Government of Spain to the city of Lorca, where, once the reconstruction of the urban center has been consolidated, in spite of other projects and investments that will take place in the future, it focuses now in the districts and improve the welfare and living conditions of all Lorca.
"These three million euros have involved renovating more than 60 kilometers of the municipal network of roads, half of them renovating all the asphalt and others performing actions of patching potholes, renovations of gravel ..., in addition to installing four linear kilometers of public lighting, make investments in six playgrounds and various performances in schools or social premises ... ", explained the delegate, who described the money as very well invested by the municipality of Lorca.
"Of course there will be new projects and investments of the Government of Spain for Lorca, such as the Palace of Justice, work long demanded by the whole society and from which I can confirm that shortly the work will be awarded among the 24 companies that they have presented to the public contest ", detailed Bernabé, that also announced his commitment to go monthly to Lorca to dispatch with the mayor the most important matters that affect the society of Lorca.
The mayor, Fulgencio Gil has underlined and thanked the commitment of the Government of Spain with the development of Lorca, which has allowed, he said, "a city and a municipality after the catastrophe that we suffered in the year 2011".
The investment of the Ministry of Finance has allowed not only the improvement of the communications network, but also the renovation of the parks of Avilés, Campillo, Campo López (Carrasquilla), Morata and Torrealvilla.
The districts that have benefited from the execution of works within the actions encompassed by virtue of this agreement are Aguaderas, Almendricos, Avilés, Béjar, Campillo, Cazalla, Parrilla, Coy, Dońa Inés, Carrasquilla, La Escucha, La Hoya, La Tova, La Torrecilla, Marchena, Morata, Puntarrón, Purias, Garrobillo, Rio, Tercia, Torrealvilla, Zarcilla de Ramos, Zarzadilla de Totana, Zarzalico, Tiata, Pulgara and Ramonete.
