The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, along with the Councilor for Education, Francisco Montiel, supervised this morning the repairs that are being made on the sports track of the Public School Juan Gonzalez, in which the Lorca Consistory has invested 35.2014,35 euros, and that are part of a battery of improvement that has been made in the network of schools in our municipality, which has been allocated 172,151.90 euros, with the aim of renovating educational facilities.
Fulgencio Gil has indicated that "to the repair of the sports track also joins the placement of a double plaster ceiling in different classrooms for an amount of 6,287.71 euros that has been made in this same educational center Lorca.
Thanks to the different actions that have taken place in the different schools of the municipality, we started 2018 with the educational facilities in the best possible state.
During this year we will continue making specific interventions according to the needs of each center with the aim of always ensuring the good state of the educational infrastructure of the municipality. "
The Mayor of Lorca, on the other hand, has announced on this visit that "the Ministry of Education has requested the City of Lorca license to implement the expansion of the Public School of Infant Education and Primary Juan Navarro García de La Hoya.
It is about enabling new classrooms on the ground floor and on the first floor.
The extension is carried out on the primary module, connecting the new building with the main building, extending its circulation spaces, using the vertical communication cores, existing service and installation "..
Gil added that "specifically, two new children's classrooms are enabled on the ground floor, along with a new toilet module, as well as an exterior covered porch.
On the other hand, three primary classrooms will be built on the first floor.
In addition, the exterior urbanization of the area adjacent to the expansion works is planned, which will include new pavements and a rainwater collection system.
It should be noted that the total constructed area is 687.50 m2, the total being 80 m2.
The material execution budget is 360,048.35 euros ".
