The work for a new ITV station and the Unexport headquarters confirm the momentum of this sector as a quality industrial area.
The axis houses firms from the agri-food sector, repair of cars and transport vehicles, as well as construction materials and services.
The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, together with the Town Planning Councilor, María Saturnina Martínez, overseen this morning the urbanization works that have been completed for the expansion of the industrial estate of the hamlet of La Hoya, and that have already been received provisionally by the Local Administration.
The First Edil explained that through these works has made possible the ordering of a total area of ​​50,000 m², including general system of green areas (4,629 m²), equipment (2,314 m²), parks and gardens (4,564 m²), infrastructure (107 m²), Industrial land (23,422 m²), Road (14,164 m²) and 133 parking spaces (8 of them for people with disabilities) We are talking about an intervention that has a material execution budget amounting to € 1,359,048 and the contract € 1,718,381.
Fulgencio Gil explained that from the area of ​​Urban Planning has been granted a license to build in this first unit a total of 25 ships.
It is a major project that is being managed by the promoter of the Polygon, which is already translated into the implementation of the works for the establishment of two important projects such as the case of a new station for the Technical Inspection of Vehicles (ITV), with an investment of 310,000 euros, and the implementation of the main offices of the firm UNEXPORT, a brand that brings together all exporters of fruits and vegetables located in La Hoya and that will make a strong economic investment estimated at an amount exceeding € 205,000 that is already being executed.
Fulgencio Gil has stressed that all these works are being used to definitively consolidate the La Hoya Industrial Estate, an area that has grown significantly even in times of crisis.
Fortunately, and according to the data provided by the municipal technicians, the stage of crisis in this area seems to have concluded definitively, given the strength and strength of the investments that are being addressed.
The Mayor has stressed that these activities and this industrial land serve to enhance a thriving axis of development within our own municipality, which is shaped in the communication route linking the urban center of Lorca and the hamlet of La Hoya.
We are talking about a real interior Corridor Lorca La Hoya, which encompasses the work of multiple areas with agri-food activity, being the largest physical facilities that host the Fruit and Vegetable Market, together with the Regional Automobile City and a diversity of economic activities located in the vicinity of the old road to Murcia.
The Mayor has anticipated that from now on it will proceed to develop the second unit of action of the mentioned polygon, which has another 50,000 m².
It should be noted that this industrial area has original dimensions of 642,200 m2, which have been extended with another 50,000 m2, and another increase of the same characteristics is foreseen.
We must add that more than 110 companies are located in it, having generated more than 1,500 direct jobs.
