The Mariano Ruiz-Funes Foundation, made up of the Autonomous Community, the Murcia Bar Association and the University of Murcia, celebrates next Tuesday, January 16, an activity that will combine theater and debate around mediation, on the occasion of of the next commemoration of the European Day of Mediation, which is celebrated on January 21.

This activity, which is part of the 'Law and Society' cycle, will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center of the City of Lorca, and admission will be free until the capacity is met.

First a theatrical performance will be held, entitled 'Hola, mamá', which will be performed by Eva Llorach and the text and artistic direction are by Natalia Carreres and Pedro Martín.

Next, there will be a round table, which will be moderated by Ángel García Aragón, dean of the Bar Association of Lorca, and will have the assistance of Javier Parra, lawyer of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJ), mediator and coordinator of the Neutral Point Promotion of Mediation;

Carmen Marín, lawyer of the TSJ and head of service of the Unit of Intrajudicial Mediation of Murcia (UMIM);

Natalia Carreres, technical mediator and coordinator of the Family Area of ​​the UMIM;

and Elisa Campoy, vice-dean of the Bar Association of Lorca.

The subject that is subject to analysis is the emerging formula of mediation as a tool for conflict resolution, which is addressed by the representation of a theatrical monologue and the subsequent contrast of opinions by several experts in this field.

The work that is staged is the expression of twelve years of professional intervention and more than three hundred experiences of family conflict management through mediation.

It will be the second act of this cycle to be held outside the city of Murcia, after the one that took place last December in Cartagena, with a round table on cybercrime.
