The Councilors of Equality and Citizen Participation of the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martínez and Francisco Javier Pelegrín, respectively, have supervised this morning the improvements that have been made in the premises of the Association of Women of La Viña, which are part of a battery of works that are being carried out in different social centers of women throughout the municipality and in which the Lorca Consistory has invested more than 75,000 euros.

Francisco Javier Pelegrín explained that "this is a matter of multiple actions that have allowed the broad associative fabric that enjoys these premises to be able to use these infrastructures with guarantees." In this way, we contribute to the correct development of the different action programs for associations of women, but also citizens in general, which are carried out by the City Council through its different councils and that generate a great good in our society. "

In total 20 social premises of our municipal area have benefited from this extensive battery of improvements that has contemplated room extensions, replacement of doors, installation of plumbing, toilets and unblocking of pipes, change of locks, fix dampness, repairs of electrical appliances (air conditioning, refrigerator, television, heating appliances, ...), roofing and waterproofing, painting, installation of mirrors and curtains and equipment, among others.

Specifically, in the place we visited today, we proceeded to paint grills and blinds, to the arrangement of the drains, the expansion joint of the floor and the drum of the blinds.

In addition, it is worth noting that the repair works of the new Los Angeles Women's Association store, which has invested more than 35,000 euros, are about to be completed.

Juan Francisco Martínez, meanwhile, stressed that "thanks to the improvements that have been made in these infrastructures women who are associated with different groups of women throughout the municipality can develop the different courses and activities in a more modern, improved, more comfortable, safe and functional, both from the Department of Equality and the Citizen Participation, we consider that this type of improvement is an important step forward in the progress of the association in our municipal area. that in the coming months we will continue to develop actions in more premises of this type, since from the Government Team we aim to strengthen the associative fabric of our city, for which we always want to offer all the groups the best facilities and infrastructures so that they can develop in them their magnificent work, carry out socio-cultural activities and
