The councilors of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez and David Romera have proposed the hiring of new staff to assemble two independent health teams in the morning and afternoon, to achieve the unfolding of San Diego and San Cristóbal health areas taking advantage the dependencies of the health center of San Diego that are closed "to lime and singing" from 3 pm.
It is an initiative of the PSOE that they claim, must be "provisional and transitory" pending the current Mayor's capacity to find the necessary land, which they say they are looking for and can not find to start construction of the new center.
It is not about the reopening of downtown San Diego in the afternoons.
This proposal aims that the health center of San Diego, whose dependencies are closed "at cal and canto" from 3:00 pm, serves the users of San Diego and San Cristóbal in uninterrupted hours, from 8 in the morning to 22 hours, guaranteeing a "continuous and guaranteed" coverage to alleviate waiting, reduce the number of patients per doctor, discharge the daily pressure of the health personnel, redistributing the total of the cards between the two shifts.
Ultimately, this proposal by the PSOE aims to "relieve" the saturation of the San Diego health center, the most saturated in the entire Region of Murcia.
Sánchez Jódar recalled that the center of San Diego has the lowest number of doctors per patient, which causes "daily overcrowding."
Sánchez Jódar has once again shown that, while in Lorca each primary care physician is assigned an average of 1,453 patients, in Cartagena the figure is 1,376 and in the Northwest, 1,276.
San Diego, on the other hand, exceeds all figures, reaching 1,986 primers per doctor "the highest in the entire Region of Murcia."
Despite the daily saturation, the Popular Party has been "unable" during the last years to increase the health personnel for this health center that, insists, covers a third of the population of Lorca.

The socialist councilors insist that it is more necessary than ever to build the new health center in San Cristóbal to achieve the division of the San Diego and San Cristóbal areas.
They insist that the lack of personnel is the reason why they are meeting for more than a week, as well as the saturation of the emergency services of Sutullena and Rafael Méndez.
They assure that it is "urgent" that Sanidad fulfills its commitment to adapt the pediatric consultations in San Diego, taking advantage of the dependencies of the old SUAP, for which from 2017 they have the financing (€ 200,000 in 2017, € 240,000 in 2018) as well as the commitment reflected in the minutes of the last health council of area III "without anything having been done".
