The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Andrea Periago has announced that, in plenary next Monday, will present a motion in which collect a battery of measures aimed at stabilizing and rebalancing the public pension system, maintaining spending, rationalizing other items and increasing the income of the system.

With their proposals, the Lorca socialists propose, among other things, proposals to recover the Pact of Toledo, approve a new Workers' Statute that promotes labor rights and quality jobs, as well as establish a supplementary source of financing of pensions in charge of the PGE, as it happens in most European countries.

From the PSOE propose, in turn, ensure the purchasing power of pensions, recovering the update of the same according to the IPC and take specific measures to gradually eliminate the gap close to 40% between the amount of pensions of the men and women.

Andrea Periago has ensured that the PP and the Government of Rajoy constitute a "real threat" to the public pension system, subjecting to permanent plunder the Social Security Reserve Fund. For the Lorca socialists, the protection of our elders is "fundamental", since they are those who have lost most of their purchasing power in recent years. "Despite everything, remember that many of the pensioners have become the" only sustenance " of so many and many families who have had a bad time and continue to suffer as a result of the crisis.

Finally, Periago notes that if the situation for all pensioners is "very difficult" is even worse for the case of users of residences, public and private, of the Region of Murcia.

The Socialists will again demand that the Regional Government stop staying with the extra pay, in June and December, of the users of the residences.
