The Municipal Citizens Group will present a motion on Monday for the Holy Week brotherhoods to manage the sale of the 146 stands in front of the presidency with full transparency and consider the possibility of allocating the collection from said boxes to the brotherhoods that receive less subsidies.
Mecca confirms that "these 146 stands have been managed through the protocol services of the City Council, selling at a similar price to the rest of the boxes."
After repeated writings, they have never been able to obtain a single economic data in this regard.
In 2017 the Councilman already informed that "we have proof that these boxes would have been sold by the managers of the Jardines de Lorca hotel".
It is still of interest for this Municipal Group to know the reasons why the management of a public good has been entrusted to a private company and especially the economic data of that management, data that "have not been provided to us".
"This money raised with this rostrum managed by the Guilds themselves, could cover expenses of others, who always receive less subsidy (17,800 euros per year) need more resources for their own activities" proposed Antonio Meca in his plenary motion.
