Pedro Sosa, councilor spokesman of Izquierda Unida Verdes Lorca, has come to the step of the information recently appeared in the press related to the extra cost that is being applied in the price of the rate of garbage collection, and that in the case of Lorca is of € 7 per inhabitant, which translates into a profit of € 640,000 for the municipal company Limusa.
IU Lorca already presented in July 2017 a motion in which was criticized and intended to end the extra costs in the receipts of both Aguas de Lorca, and Limusa, since according to the Law Regulating the Local Treasuries, the amount of the rates can not exceed the actual or foreseeable cost of the service or activity in question and therefore does not understand the current criticism of C's and PSOE to this extra cost, since they abstained in the vote on said motion.
Sosa also criticizes the government team that boasts of the good functioning of the company Limusa and its benefits, when they occur in contravention of the Law.
Nor does the mayor of the left understand that the management of the company Limusa now falls to Juan Francisco Martínez, who is also mayor of the Treasury, the council that makes these errors in the application of rates or capital gains (fact also reported by the training in other occasions) and he does not see well that he is granted an increase in his councilor's allocation of € 500 for this new position, when it would be desirable to redistribute his delegations among other councilors, so that a task as essential as the Local hacienda is managed much better.
Finally and in reference to the transfer of the former manager of the cleaning company, Santos González, Sosa has asked what the reason for his dismissal, if from the government team have always manifested the good functioning of Limusa, even boasting of the benefits that it obtained, reason why it urges to them that they give the real explanations that have motivated their dismissal with the consequent substantial indemnification that will receive for it.
