It is the result of the multiple operations established throughout the municipality throughout the last days.

3 of the detainees had false driving licenses, 2 lacked driving licenses, 2 drunk driving and about 2 were carrying warrants for theft.

The Councilor for Public Safety in the City of Lorca, María Belén Pérez, reported that local police officers have proceeded to the arrest of 9 people as alleged perpetrators of the commission of crimes of theft, falsification of documents and against road safety .

It is an operation carried out by members of the UPROL Unit

The Security Edil explained that as a result of the checks and surveillance devices that have been made in the week of January 15 to 21 throughout the Municipality of Lorca, have been located, controlled and arrested 3 people driving vehicles making use of false driving licenses, one from the Republic of Senegal, one from the United Kingdom and the last one from Italy, also verifying that these people lacked any license or driver's license, incurring in two crimes (crime of Documentary and Anti-Counterfeit Road safety).

These interventions have been possible thanks to the training of agents in the field of false documents, which has made it easier to detect such falsifications.

Pérez Martínez has pointed out that, on the other hand, two people, a man and a woman, have also been located and detained, on which fell arrest and search warrants for their involvement in robberies committed in different establishments in the city of Lorca .

These people were handed over to the National Police Force where they were detained.

The work of the Local Police has allowed, in addition, the arrest of another 4 people for the commission of crimes against Road Safety, 2 of them for driving without having ever obtained a permit or license and two others for exceeding the rate of 0, 65mg / l in expired air in the breathalyzer tests.

The Councilor for Security has affirmed that with these important actions the constant preventive / operative work is confirmed, as well as the constant training and updating that the Local Police of Lorca develops through the different units in which it is organized and through the surveillance devices that are established throughout the municipality, as well as its coordination with the rest of Security Forces and bodies and with the specialists in falsification of public documents cited.
