Mateos is pleased that, after bringing this historic demand of the professionals and users of justice of Lorca to the Senate through an initiative of the PSOE, they obtained the impetus that the project needed to accelerate the adjudication process and the beginning of the works of the Palace of Justice of Lorca, which are expected to take place next February

The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has celebrated that the beginning of the works of the Palace of Justice advance thanks to the impulse that the Senate, through an initiative of the PSOE, gave to this project that for Mateos is " vital "for the revitalization of the Historical Center and" necessary "to meet the just and historical demands of professionals and users of justice in Lorca.

Mateos recalled that this initiative was presented by the PSOE last July, through the socialist Senator Juan Luis Soto Burillo.

An initiative with which the PSOE managed to obtain the agreement of the rest of the political forces to complete the drafting of the project and initiate the necessary procedures for the adjudication of the works and the beginning of the construction.

This initiative of the PSOE was translated into a compromise amendment which ended up urging the Government to promote "provide the necessary economic means so that the commitments already acquired for the construction of the Palace of Justice of Lorca can be fulfilled".

The start of the works comes after "too many years lost" with, he says, "false promises and breaches of deadlines" by the central government of the Popular Party.

Therefore, Mateos has been pleased that the project starts to move forward thanks to the pressure and constant work that the socialists have done, aware of the importance of this project for the future development of our municipality.

From the beginning, Mateos was convinced that this project "will be thanks to the joint effort of all, or will not be", hence the importance of the Socialists getting the support of the rest of the political forces to accelerate the construction of the Palace .

Remember that the Senate took part in the promotion of these works thanks to this initiative.

Never before, and despite having the current Mayor as Senator for almost two years, the Senate had addressed the issue of the construction of the Palace of Justice in Lorca.
