The PSOE denounces that PP and Podemos re-make the clamp in the Senate, this time to vote against eliminating the tasazo to the Transfer of the Tajo-Segura, an "unfair and abusive" tax for which the irrigators Lorca will have to pay almost 900,000 euros per year for water that does not receive

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Antonio Navarro denounces that, again, PP and Podemos ally in the Senate against the interests of the irrigators Lorca, voting against an amendment that sought to reject the tasazo to the transfer, a tax on the Tagus water.

For this PP-Podemos alliance, Lorca irrigators will have to pay almost 900,000 euros a year, for a "tasazo" to the Transfer, which "harms the irrigators and farmers, because it forces them to pay that amount of money" for a water that they do not perceive. "

Navarro reminds that the amount of this "tasazo" will go to the Autonomous Communities that have not allowed to transfer "not a drop of water transferred" to our Region.

The councilor of the PSOE regrets that, knowing the drought that support the irrigators and farmers of Lorca and the region, the senators of PP and Podemos are allied to vote against an amendment that sought to eliminate this "tasazo" when no transfers occur.

The arguments that are given to vote against the amendment to eliminate this "unjust and abusive" tasazo are:

(Textual) This request is rejected in its entirety because the collection obtained by the part of the water driving rate corresponding to the concept of contribution for the cost of the works, is the compensation measure to the transferring basin, that is, to the Autonomous Communities affected by the Tajo-Segura Transfer.

Approving this measure would have important economic consequences for those Autonomous Communities that would suffer a significant decrease in income.

Navarro says that if the outrage of making farmers pay a fee for water they do not receive is serious, it is even more serious to argue that the destination of this money will go to the Autonomous Communities that have not allowed come to our region not a drop of water transferred.

From the Socialist Party, demand especially the Lorca Agricultural Counselor Francisco Jódar and the president of the CARM, also Lorca Fernando Lopez Miras, to appear before farmers, and explain why they have to pay almost one million euros to the Autonomous Communities that have not allowed and do not allow water to come to our Region.

"The Socialists will continue to work in a coordinated manner between the Congress, Senate, Regional Assembly of Murcia to find solutions to the problem of drought, Navarro has concluded.
