Mateos extends his hand to Gil Jódar so that he does not bend to the interests of ADIF.
It demands to the present Mayor that does not accept the intention of ADIF to bury only 1.7 kilometers, because, otherwise, it warns that "it will be a historical error that we will end up paying all the Lorca"
The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has demanded Gil Jódar not to submit to the interests of ADIF and the Government of Spain, and not renounce the burial of the AVE the 4.3 kilometers necessary to not mortgage the future development of Lorca.
Mateos has requested that the burial table of the AVE in Lorca be immediately convened, where the social and business fabric involved is already represented, to address the situation of the burial in Lorca and "join efforts" to stop the intentions of ADIF and the Party Popular to integrate the railway only 1.7 kilometers, instead of the 4.3 km necessary to not strangle the growth of the city.
The Socialist spokesman warns that if Gil Jódar ends up submitting to the plans of ADIF and the Government of Spain will be a "historical error" for Lorca that "we will end up paying all Lorca."
Mateos ensures that the PSOE, in line with the social and business fabric of Lorca, remains "firm" in the position of not renouncing the burial 4.3 kilometers.
In this sense, and waiting for the training study, Mateos ensures that they will reach the instances that are necessary for the AVE to pass through Lorca buried the necessary 4.3 km.
He assures that they will raise allegations when they confirm, through this study, the plans to bury only 1.7 km and that the local PP has already "announced" with the modification of section I of the Round "that will affect the burial".
Romera insists that the decision of the PP to replace the planned overpass of the Central Round on the train tracks by an underpass that will run five meters deep "hinders" that the burial of the roads begins in the neighborhood of Apolonia like the PSOE, and the economic and social agents of Lorca want.
In this way, accepting ADIF's plans, the passage of the AVE will constitute a barrier that will "forever mortgage the urban and economic future of the San Cristóbal neighborhood, San Diego, Los Ángeles and Apolonia, isolating them from the rest of the city" .
Romera insists that Lorca needs that the burial be integral in the 4.3 kilometers of roads that exist between the Apolonia neighborhood and the connection with the Águilas highway (RM-11), which is the area that the current General Plan of Ordination Urbana plans as future urbanization and expansion areas of the city.
From the PSOE ask Gil Jódar to reconsider and think about the future of Lorca before accepting the imposition of ADIF.
Otherwise, he warns that Gil Jódar will be remembered as the Mayor who mortgaged the urban, economic and social growth of Lorca forever.
