Sánchez Jódar urged the Murcian Health Service to install as soon as possible the Magnetic Resonance service donated by the Amancio Ortega Foundation after the Health Counselor confirmed that his hospital Rafael Méndez hospital is pending.
The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar has demanded that Health accelerate the administrative procedures necessary to put into operation "as soon as possible" the magnetic resonance service at the Rafael Méndez de Lorca General Hospital.
For years, Lorca socialists have been claiming that Rafael Méndez has this health benefit to avoid the "long and expensive" journeys that, on a daily basis, are forced to make Lorca patients to other municipalities in the Region of Murcia for the realization of this type of diagnostic test so "elementary".
As a result of this concern, the socialist deputy Isabel Casalduero registered a few weeks ago a question about when Health had planned to implement this service in Rafael Méndez, after the Autonomous Community signed an agreement with the Amancio Ortega Foundation, whereby the latter he undertook to donate the installation of the resonance service in area III.
This agreement was signed at the beginning of the summer of 2017.
On February 14, the Socialists received a response from the Health Counselor, who stated that "the General Directorate of Health Care of the Murcia Health Service reported that the Magnetic Resonance that is waiting to be acquired under the Protocol of Intentions between the Autonomous Community and the Amancio Ortega foundation will be installed in the Rafael Méndez hospital. "
Based on this response, Sánchez Jódar urged the Autonomous Community and the Murcia Health Service not to delay further the installation of the Magnetic Resonance in Rafael Méndez.
For this, the socialist council urges the Murcian Health Service to accelerate the administrative procedures necessary to put this service into service as soon as possible, and asks the Mayor's cooperation, to demand "speed" from their bosses in Murcia and not delay a service so "fundamental" for users of public health in Lorca.
