The bonus can be applied immediately, in such a way that it benefits projects already contemplated, such as the renovation of hydraulic infrastructures and the water distribution network from the Águilas desalination plant.
It should be noted that the adoption of this advantageous measure will translate into the modification of its articulation to incorporate that for buildings, installations or works that are declared of special interest or municipal utility because of social, cultural, historical or artistic circumstances. of the employment that justifies such declaration, a 50% bonus on the quota is established, with a general character, and 95% on the quota exclusively for the field of renewable energies and for those destined to the modernization of irrigation that are promoted by user communities that have the character of a corporation under public law.
The Plenary Session of the City Council will be the body in charge of approving such declarations.
The Mayor, in addition, has echoed the requests of the irrigators to declare of municipal interest all the works executed by the irrigators.

It is a fact embodied in tangible terms in the generation of jobs that contribute to great extent to the recovery of economic activity that comes with it.
The collective of Lorca irrigators exceeds 15,000 members, and brings together more than 26,000 hectares of crops.
From the City Council we are aware that the irrigation communities are carrying out a huge task for the distribution of irrigation water, having executed a very extensive and modern network of pipelines, as well as multiple and innovative hydraulic facilities such as reservoirs, pumps and more recently , generation of clean energy.
We must bear in mind that the extension of the irrigable area in more than 11,000 hectares carried out in 2011, as well as the incorporation of desalinated water within the irrigation system of Lorca have created a new scenario that entails the execution of multiple constructions and works.
This Municipal Executive shares the suffering of Lorca farmers by the drought that is hitting us hard since 2015. We are facing a situation of maximum difficulty for our irrigators.
This City Council has been, is and will be with its irrigators.
We know the problems that farmers, seedbeds, agricultural service companies and agri-food products are having ... a situation that demands an additional effort from our irrigators with the development of urgent works that contribute to pail this situation.
