The beneficiaries of the aid of the earthquakes of Lorca may justify with technical reports the investment of public subsidies for the repair of damage caused by earthquakes in their homes, in those cases where invoices are not kept to prove these investments .

This was stated today by the general secretary of the Ministry of the Presidency and Development, Yolanda Muñoz, during a meeting held with residents of the city.

Yolanda Muñoz transmitted a message of "tranquility" to the neighbors, to whom she informed that the procedure for justifying public aid "is a completely regularized procedure in the Subsidies Law that guarantees the proper functioning of the Administration and the management of public funds. "

"All subsidies granted by public administrations have to be justified by the beneficiaries, for which they have a deadline to provide the documents that justify their investment for the purpose requested," the secretary general explained.

The general secretary highlighted the "special sensitivity" with which the management of aid to repair the damage caused by earthquakes by public administrations is being carried out, and underscored the "absolute collaboration on the part of the Lorca City Council and its technical staff ", that has already begun the preparation of the reports of those beneficiaries who have suffered a loss of invoices.

"The regional government has been from the first minute next to the victims of the earthquakes in Lorca," said Muñoz, who recalled that more than 16,000 records of different types of aid have been processed due to the 2011 earthquakes, that 11,403 are housing reconstruction records.

The general secretary of the Presidency and Development explained that both the Community and the City Council are put "in a coordinated manner" at the disposal of any beneficiary who needs a clarification on the subsidies that were granted in the Mixed Commission integrated by the three public administrations.
