It is about the guide prepared by the Municipal Consistory and financed by Cajamar.
The document incorporates 4 more pages, adding the new activities that will be developed by Lorca, Taller del Tiempo and the council itself.
The Councilman of Tourism in the City council of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, has informed that we want that, so much those that habitually reside in our municipality as those who visit us in an exceptional way for our Holy Week, have at hand all the updated and precise information to take the maximum benefit of this cycle of processions to which are added numerous and varied activities such as visits and liturgical acts that make Lorca an essential destination thanks to our Different Passion.
Montiel Sánchez explained that the Holy Week 2018 program has printed 16,000 copies and has been sponsored for the tenth year by Cajamar, which will also distribute a large part of these in its offices in Lorca and its region, thus contributing to disseminate our most popular parties.
As a novelty it is worth noting that it has been expanded by 4 more pages to be able to offer information about the extraordinary activities that will be carried out by the Department of Tourism and Lorca Taller del Tiempo, as well as to include information on the embroidery museums, so that all Citizens are aware of the possibility of enjoying this unique and extraordinary event during the 365 days of the year.
In the elaboration of its content, the brotherhoods collaborate periodically, providing much of the information provided as well as precise data to fully enjoy the different proposals.
From the Friday of Dolores until Resurrection Sunday, they perform events every day, filling the agenda of the city of Lorca with activities of various kinds.
In addition, each year they get more involved, contributing their own photos and suggestions with the aim of making this form not only a useful tool, but an attractive and functional guide.
With regard to the extraordinary Holy Week visits, we wish to emphasize that, from the same Friday of Dolores until Easter Tuesday, the Department of Tourism offers visitors and residents different and varied alternatives of guided tours for all public, ranging from dramatized visits for the whole family, to those that delve into the roots of the city with tours of important vestiges and historical traces, as well as visits themed with Holy Week: one that shows us the intricacies that make possible the celebration of our particular Pastoral Biblical Parades entitled "The Other Holy Week", and another that combines monumentality and Extraordinary Exhibitions of the heritage of the Brotherhoods.
In the Castle of Lorca special visits are also offered, such as "El Juglar del Rey" or activities such as falconry and the tourist train ride that will delight adults and children.
In short, a poster of activities so complete and varied that there is no excuse for not approaching any day of the week to our town and enjoy a host of different experiences and quality.
