Given the criticisms leveled by Antonio Meca against the municipal auditor, the City Council reminds that this official has express authorization from the General Directorate of Local Administration since July 2011 for the provision of his work in Lorca and Beniel, The same situation is presented by thousands of national habilitation officials throughout Spain, including several cities in our region.
Despite having proof and explanation of it, Mr. Mecca is trying to mount one of his usual "shows" to capture the media attention that common sense denies him.
This new attack by Mr Meca is included in his continuous attempts to pressure and intimidate municipal officials, which this Executive strongly condemns.
It should be noted that in no case there is a detriment to the municipal coffers, nor is there any record of any complaint or breach of duties by this municipal worker.
This gentleman is carrying out in Lorca the worst policy that is remembered: that of intimidation, defamation, suspicion and false accusations, even against public officials who carry out their work in a serious and impeccable manner.
