The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has requested that the term be extended so that those affected have more facilities to be able to present allegations to the expropriations of the AVE.

Mateos has insisted that, due to the large number of affected and interested, it is necessary to extend the deadline to give the possibility of making allegations, so that both those who have had late information and those who need to obtain documents to provide them , or directly because of the complexity of their situation they need "more time", they can have enough time to present their allegations or clarifications.

Mateos recalled that this layout affects the districts of Sutullena, Campillo, La Torrecilla and Almendricos, involving almost 550 properties, distributed among these districts, especially in La Torrecilla.

Along with the request to extend the period of allegations, the PSOE is going to request that a "detailed and exhaustive" study of the passage of the different watercourses and riverbeds that are going to be affected by the route of the AVE, such as the Ramblas, be carried out. of La Torrecilla, Béjar, Alta or Bracelets of Velopache and Las Zahurdas.

Mateos advocates doing everything possible to avoid, in addition, that the AVE becomes a barrier that may prevent the normal drainage of water, and thus minimize the damage that could occur in case of floods, especially in the case of the Rambla of the Torrecilla that only foresees two steps of water of 4 by 2 meters, "to all lights insufficient".

Mateos warns that there is still time to "do things right", so he insists on acting in a "responsible and calm" manner, extending the deadline so that through the allegations the route is cleansed, solutions are adopted that sufficiently enable the passage of rainwater in case of avenues.

At the request of the PSOE, during the past week the City Council of Lorca began to assign municipal technicians to the social premises of the affected districts to facilitate access and consultation of the files to the neighbors.

Mateos insists on the need to provide advice to those affected by legal doubts, or of any other nature that may arise, and that neighbors can submit their claims through the Ayuntamóvil or other means.
